national child’s day

November 20

Today is national child’s day – celebrated around the world. It’s a day dedicated to highlighting the rights of children and making sure their voices are heard. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness of children’s problems in every country, to show our unity with children and ensure that we are always improving children’s welfare.

This day creates the need for all countries and nations to make sure children have rights and that we are always putting their needs first.

our mission to support our children

At Foster Wales we recognize this message each and every day. We always act in the child’s best interest and continue to try and give our children the best start in life. We couldn’t achieve this without our foster carers and are always looking for more. If you feel like you could be that person to help change a child’s life, please contact our friendly team.

Here are some ways you can celebrate national child day with your family

1. Make it their day

Let the kids take over! It’s a great chance to let them be in control of the house and do whatever activities they want to do (within reason – of course!)

2. Go out for the day

It’s a good excuse to take the kids out for a family fun day out. If it falls on a school day, you can always do it on the weekend or after school. Take a look at our other blog post, to see what there is to do in the Vale of Glamorgan

3. Learn

Another thing you can do is turn it into an educational day. It’s important for a child, especially in the care system to be aware of their rights and who to speak to for support
